About Falkener

Waldo C. Falkener IB World School was built in 2000 and was authorized as an IB school in May of 2007.

Waldo C. Falkener History

Waldo C. Falkener served on the Greensboro City Council from 1959 until 1963. While on the council, he pursued better roads, public utilities, recreational facilities, and more public employment.

Elementary Learning Area 3

There are seven elementary learning areas, each with a designated School Support Officer (SSO). Families are encouraged to address questions or concerns first with their child's teacher(s), then the school principal, before reaching out to the SSO. Falkener is part of Elementary Learning Area 3.

As School Support Officer, Dr Draper oversees nine schools and their administrators and ensures accountability for academic expectations. She works with school leaders to design and implement short- and long-term goals for school improvement and overall performance.
